We Are Your Voice is the execution agency for the Department for the welfare of Differently-Abled, Tamil Nadu to perform Project Management for its Differently Abled Employment and Livelihood Centre (DELC) – the specialized unit of the Department that manages the upskilling, training, placement and self-employment of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in the state.
DELC will serve
DELC will serve the Persons with Disabilities in the state of Tamil Nadu by organizing the 38 districts into six zones. Chennai, Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Salem and Tirunelveli will be the zonal centres and the zonal DELC teams will work towards the upskilling, training, placement and self-employment of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) at the zonal level.
Government of India mandates equal employment opportunity for Persons with Disabilities in all establishments through The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act (RPwD Act) 2016 and also insists all establishments to publish their Equal Opportunity Policy (EOP) Document in their websites and also display at conspicuous places in their premises. The State Government through the Department for the welfare of Differently-Abled and its specialized unit DELC, is working diligently to get this EOP Policy implementation in the state.
